Internal (built-in) hard drive with a 3.5" form factor from the Seagate SkyHawk family of specialized HDDs, model year 2021. This lineup includes 10 models with capacities ranging from 1 to 8 TB, optimized for use in surveillance systems based on digital video recorders and network video recorders working with disk arrays. The specially optimized firmware with proprietary ImagePerfect technology ensures uninterrupted 24/7 video stream recording from a large number of HD cameras (up to 64 units).

The Seagate SkyHawk +Rescue ST4000VX016 hard drive is supported by proprietary SkyHawk Health Management software, which provides active protection of surveillance data storage with advanced prevention and recovery tools. Optimized for use in simple and complex RAID structures. In case of failures, the bundled RAID RapidRebuild software will restore volumes three times faster than traditional RAID arrays.

Thanks to built-in vibration sensors, the drive provides stable performance in multi-disk systems (up to 16 drives in one cage), allowing easy and quick scaling of the video recording storage subsystem as needed. The energy-efficient controller and firmware features guarantee high efficiency and modest heat emission (3.7 W in operating mode), which increases the overall reliability of the system.
