Internal (embedded) hard drive of 3.5" form factor from the 2016 line of special Seagate SkyHawk HDD drives. This family includes 9 models with capacities ranging from 1 and 10 TB, which are intended for use in digital video surveillance systems (DVR) and network video recorders (NVR). Special firmware with ImagePerfect technologies ensures uninterrupted round-the-clock recording of video streams from a large number of HD cameras (up to 64 pcs.) SkyHawk Health Management (SHM) proprietary software creates active protection for video surveillance data storage using advanced preventive and preventative tools.
recovery software analyzes various drive parameters and, using special algorithms, identifies possible problems. Based on information about the operating/environmental environment, SHM recommends preventive measures and actions. The Seagate SkyHawk ST4000VX007 hard drive can be used in simple and complex RAID arrays of any level. RapidRebuild will restore volumes three times faster than traditional RAID arrays. Thanks to built-in vibration sensors, the drive provides stable performance in multi-disk systems, which makes it possible to easily and quickly scale the video storage subsystem as needed. Advanced controller and firmware features ensure cost-effectiveness and low heat dissipation, which increases the reliability of the system as a whole.
