Thanks to the support of Triluminos proprietary technologies and X-tended Dynamic Range, the Sony KD-49XF8596 TV is able to demonstrate a high-definition picture and detail (91 ppi), decent maximum brightness, excellent static contrast and the maximum possible viewing angles. The screen allows you to fully display a 30-bit colour palette, which greatly increases the naturalness and realism of HDR images. Dynamic backlight control and full real-time digital video processing are supported by the 4K X-Reality PRO...processor, which is capable of interpolating additional frames to a level equivalent to a refresh rate of 1000 Hz (Motionflow XR technology). A universal set of three TV tuners allows you to receive any analogue or digital broadcasts, including DVB-T2/C/S2.
