Compared to Miracast, Google Cast is usually more convenient for popular services and the Chrome browser, but it often requires the TV and gadget to be on the same network, and the connection quality noticeably affects smoothness. Typical use cases include playing cartoons from YouTube for children or showing guests an album from Google Photos, etc.
