A compact multifunctional NAS server of the editing type, powered by an 8-thread Ryzen V1500B processor, supplemented by 2 GB of RAM expandable up to 32 GB. Synology RackStation RS822RP+ is equipped with four bays for 3.5" hot-swappable hard drives and the ability to create various RAID configurations (RAID 0/1/5/6/10, JBOD, SHR and Basic). In terms of connections, the device has four Gigabit LAN ports, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, one eSATA port for connecting expansion modules and a card reader.
The built-in DSM OS includes an extensive set of server functions: from a web and FTP server to a multimedia (DLNA, iTunes, uPnP), mail server and video surveillance system with support for up to 40 IP channels. Thanks to its rich expansion capabilities and a convenient DiskStation Manager operating system with a wide range of tools for copying, backing up, remote management, encryption and archiving data, the NAS is positioned by the manufacturer as an optimal solution for small deployments and remote offices.
