A new version of the modern game console from Nintendo, introduced to the market in early 2017. This particular modification comes with the bundled game. The key feature of the technology itself is its versatility, thanks to which the device combines the advantages of a classic stationary and portable console in one case. For example, the Nintendo Switch bundle includes two Joy‑Con wireless controllers and a special docking station. The manufacturer has implemented at least three different modes of using the device. First, the user can attach the controllers to the side faces of the console and play on the road. The second — thanks to a special stand, the device can be fixed in a vertical po more→sition on the table and played like that. The third is to connect the set-top box to the docking station and TV, and connect both controllers together, thus forming a classic gamepad, and use the device as a stationary console.

The basis of the hardware is the NVIDIA Tegra X1 chip with 3 GB of RAM and a video accelerator for 256 cores, and the built-in drive (solid state) holds 16 GB; however, if necessary, this volume can be expanded with a memory card or a USB drive connected via one of the two USB 3.0 connectors. There are no optical drives, the main source of games for the nVIDIA Shield game console is the NVIDIA GeForce Now network service, the use of which is paid (except for the first months). Through the HDMI 2.0 port, the device is capable of outputting 4K video and sound up to 7.1 more→to an external screen, there are no other multimedia interfaces. But wireless communications are represented by Wi-Fi ac and Bluetooth 4.1 modules. The standard package includes a game controller, but the “TV” remote will have to be purchased separately.

Having replaced the original Wii, this model not only continued the traditions of the series, but also introduced several new original solutions.
