— the main purpose of curved screens is to visually expand the image area, to create the impression that it covers the viewer from the sides, and not just in front of him (as in flat screens). Such a screen really enhances the “presence effect” and makes the TV look like a cinema screen. At the same time, the curved screen is very demanding on the position of the viewer (otherwise all the benefits will be lost), and in the optimal place for viewing, usually only 1-2 people can be accommodated.
