This technology is used to match the screen refresh rate to the frame rate of the incoming video signal. Such a need arises for the reason that the frame rate issued by the graphics card can change when the load on the video adapter changes (this is especially true for resource-demanding games); and if this frame rate does not match the screen refresh rate, then unwanted artifacts appear on the image. Accordingly, it makes sense to choose a TV with this feature if you plan to use it as a computer monitor with an AMD graphics card, including for games.
