Power supplies for charging stations

Power supplies

— external AC/DC or DC/DC adapters that convert the "regular" 230 V from the outlet or 12/24 V from the car into a suitable constant voltage for the station input, thus setting its charging speed. It is the power supplies that determine how quickly you will fill up the battery: the power (for example, 200-800 W), permissible current, and the connector (XT60/XT60i, DC connectors, Anderson, or proprietary) must match the device's specifications. Quality models have active PFC, overheating protection, and CE/UL certification. Unlike a cable, a power supply does not just "connect"; it stabilizes and limits the current, so a weak power supply will reduce the power even for a fast station. The practice is simple: at home — a standard power supply with maximum allowable power, on the road — a 12 V car adapter for charging in the parking lot, at a country house — power through a generator with stable voltage and a suitable plug.
