MC4 XT60 Cables
MC4 – XT60
— the "bridge" between solar panels with MC4 connectors and the input of a portable station with an XT60/XT60i connector, which transfers constant voltage to the station's MPPT controller. Such a cable is made from solar PV wire (usually 4–6 mm², standard PV1-F) with UV and frost-resistant insulation: MC4 ensures tight sealing up to an IP level and a secure fit on the roof/in the field, while XT60 is designed for high current but is not waterproof by itself — it is connected on the dry side at the station. Compatibility is determined not by the "plug type," but by the nominal limits of the solar input: the total Voc and current of the panels must fit within the MPPT limits, otherwise charging won't start or the station will limit power; XT60i versions have an "ID contact" for correct PV input recognition. Unlike MC4–MC4, which serves as an extension "panel↔panel," MC4–XT60 is specifically for "panel↔station" and does not work with 230 V AC. Practice: connect a foldable panel of 100–200 W through MC4–XT60 with an EcoFlow, place the station in the shade and panels in the sun, or connect two panels through an MC4 Y-splitter and feed them to the XT60 within the specification limits. No offers found
