Multiple colours

— a backlight that allows you to choose a glow shade from a fairly extensive list of options (at least four, and often more, sometimes with intermediate shades). However, it still does not cover the full range of colours, this is the prerogative of RGB systems (see the relevant paragraph).

Most keyboards with multi-colour backlighting are gaming keyboards (see "By direction") — for domestic or work use, this feature is not needed, and sometimes it is not even appropriate.
