Among the cardinal innovations in this revision of Android, I would like to highlight the conceptual design of Material You, which allows you to flexibly personalize the appearance of applications for reading e-books. System themes will henceforth be adapted to custom “wallpapers”, and the interface is customized more thoroughly. Also in Android 12, they introduced an indication of the use of a microphone and camera, and established stricter control over the issuance of permissions for applications. Updated power optimization mechanisms can potentially extend the battery life of the e-reader.
