One of the key enhancements introduced with the Zen chips is the SMT (simultaneous multi-threading technology), essentially AMD's answer to Intel's Hyper-threading. Also from the features of the architecture, one can note the 14 nm process technology, a dedicated floating point unit in each core and a level 3 cache up to 16 MB. Specifically, the Raven Ridge chips are the heirs of Bristol Ridge; they are equipped with integrated graphics cores (unlike another family based on the Zen architecture, Summit Ridge).
