Semi-automatic welding machines

 

— according to the device of the electronic hardware, semi-automatic devices are similar to conventional transformers: in particular, the current from the network is supplied to the step-down transformer immediately, without any pre-treatment (unlike inverters). The main specific feature is the design of the electrode: its role is played by a thin (usually within 0.6-1.2 mm) wire, which is fed from the coil to the welding site through a special nozzle. Wire feed is automatic, which relieves the welder of the need to periodically adjust the length of the electrode; and you have to change the coil much less frequently than conventional straight electrodes. At the same time, semi-automatic devices provide high quality welding and usually allow you to work using shielding gas, which significantly expands their scope in comparison with conventional transformers.
