— the main distinguishing feature of inverters is the presence of special electronic circuits that process the current coming from the network even before it is supplied to the step-down transformer. As a result of such processing, instead of the standard 50 Hz for the network, the transformer operates at frequencies of the order of several tens of kilohertz. This made it possible not only to reduce the dimensions and weight of the coils, but also to obtain a more stable current at the output (both alternating and direct). Inverters are much lighter and more compact than welding transformers, while the quality of welding with such devices is higher, and the range of application is wider. At the same time, they have a corresponding price.
