— a type of welding machine that uses an inverter power supply and partial automation of the welding process. In such devices, the current from the network, before entering the winding of the step-down transformer, passes through the so-called inverter circuits — due to this, its frequency rises from 50 Hz to several tens of kilohertz. This made it possible to reduce the dimensions of the transformer (and, accordingly, the entire apparatus as a whole), as well as improve the characteristics of the welding current and improve the quality of the weld. In this case, a thin wire is used as an electrode, which, as it is consumed, is automatically fed to the welding site from the coil through a special nozzle. The cost of welding machines of this type is quite high, but this is offset by good welding quality, ease of use and versatility.semi-automatic inverter | clear | Save List |
