LAN connection Wi-Fi equipment
LAN (network)
— connection via a regular Ethernet network cable. Note that on the equipment itself, this port is usually labeled as "WAN", and the abbreviation "LAN" is used colloquially.Ethernet is the most common standard for wired networks today: cables for such a connection are cheap and widely available, and data transfer speeds are limited mainly by the capabilities of the equipment and can reach 10 Gbps (although such indicators are very rare in Wi-Fi devices). Among other things, this technology is the standard way to connect to the Internet by wire. It can be found both in households and in offices, including quite large ones.
