Automatic zoom
— the ability to automatically change the angle of scattering of light, which provides a flash. The optimal angle is considered to correspond to the angle of view of the lens mounted on the camera; accordingly, when using lenses with a variable focal length, the angle of light scattering should also change accordingly. The auto zoom function is designed primarily for such optics: it provides constant on-the-fly synchronization between the lens and the flash.
