— this function allows using an echo sounder (see "Type") to determine how dense (or, conversely, soft) the bottom surface is under the water column — and, accordingly, to a certain extent evaluate the composition of this surface: silt, sand, dense algae and etc. This data can be useful when fishing, searching for large items under water, etc.
