Winter fish finders

 

— as the name suggests, this feature allows you to use your fishfinder (see “Type”) for winter – more precisely, ice – fishing. The "winter" sensor is most often made in the form of a float, designed to be placed in the hole, and in some models it can also be used for echolocation directly through the ice. The depth and resolution of scanning in the latter case, however, is much lower than in open water, but the sensor's capabilities are still sufficient to assess at least the depth at the selected location.
