Lamp

— classic flashlight for illumination in low light conditions; can be useful both at night and in hard-to-reach or shaded places where not enough outside light penetrates. The difference between such a lamp and the built-in lighting system (see "Functions and Capabilities") is that the lamp is a separate device that does not depend on the main tool. Such a separate device is not very convenient to hold in your hand during work — in such cases you can’t take the tool with both hands, and this creates problems in some situations. On the other hand, often the situation allows you to put or hang a lantern without taking up your hands; and sometimes in this way it is even possible to organize lighting more successfully than with the help of built-in lighting. In addition, the flashlight does not have to be used when working with a complete tool — it can be useful for other tasks. For a number of reasons, mainly cordless tools are equipped with a separate lamp (see "Power supply").
