Electric screwdrivers with USB-C connector
USB-C for charging
— the presence of a USB-C port in a cordless tool, intended for charging the battery. The idea behind this port is primarily to expand the charging options for the battery. A tool with this feature typically includes a "USB – USB-C" cable, allowing it to be charged from a wide range of power sources: network and car adapters, power banks, and even USB ports on PCs and laptops. In practice, you can charge the tool from any USB port; as a result, many models do not come with a charger — just the cable. You can also replace this cable with any other cable of the same type if desired.
For comparison, microUSB serves a similar purpose (see the relevant paragraph). USB-C is a newer type of connector, offering greater convenience due to its reversible design and higher charging power. However, this power is still relatively low compared to the needs of many cordless tools, so this charging method is primarily found in screwdrivers.
