Amplifiers with balance control
Balance adjustment
— balance adjustment is used in stereo sound in order to shift the conditional centre of the sound stage in one direction or another. This is achieved due to the fact that the volume of one channel increases, and the other decreases, and the conditional centre shifts closer to the louder speaker. The need for such adjustment may arise, for example, if the balance of the original signal is incorrect or the speaker arrangement is unsuccessful, which cannot be changed at the moment. However, premium amplifiers may not have this feature at all: it is assumed that the normal “centering” of the sound stage will be provided in other ways, and additional controls increase the likelihood of interference and are therefore undesirable.balance adjustment | clear | Save List |
