Bronze

— copper based alloy; at the same time, it is easier for a bronze coating to provide the necessary resistance to moisture, so it is used more often than pure copper. Another difference is the colour: in some models, the shade is darker than that of pure copper, in some, on the contrary, it is lighter, closer to golden (slightly darker than brass). Most bronze taps are "retro" in design (see related paragraph), but there are exceptions.
