Usually, two holes are provided in the spout of such a mixer — for "kitchen" and for filtered water; there is a separate control for each hole. Such models are convenient in that they eliminate the need to install an additional tap for the filter — and this saves both space in the kitchen and installation effort.

In terms of design features, all kitchen taps (both with and without filters) have high long spouts, usually swivel — this allows you to place large dishes under the tap and change the location of the water jet.
