Some wheel nuts are manufactured with a permanently fitted chromium plated cap. These start off from the factory as a whole size, but over time due to the combination of corrosion and impact tool use, the wheel nuts can swell by up to 0.5mm. This set includes 3 double ended impact sockets suitable for use on Ford, Range Rover and Jeep models to overcome this issue.

Each bit has been manufactured from high speed steel (HSS) with a titanium-nitride coating for hardness, rust resistance and longevity. The tap bits feature a drill section at the end of each bit which forms the perfect sized tap hole in the material for the following tap section to then cut the threads into, together with spiral flutes to clear the swarf created; plus a deburring shoulder to ensure the edge of the hole is finished without any sharp edges. The set also includes a 60mm long magnetic bit holder with a quick-chuck end for ease of use.
