PZ/FL
— this slot combines the features of the classic slot and the cross-shaped Pozidriv (PZ). Recall that the “pozidriv” is a modification of the original Phillips cross slot, complemented by thin “beams” and sharp edges for additional reliability. And the PZ / FL slot (may also be referred to as PZ / S or PZ / SL) looks like a PZ cross, one of the “beams” of which has an increased length and occupies the entire diameter of the head, from edge to edge. Such fasteners are produced mainly under the PlusMinus brand and are used mainly in electrical engineering; it can be worked quite effectively with both a flat and a cross (PZ) head, however, special combined tools still do the best job. The working part of the PZ / FL screwdriver is a cross-shaped Pozidriv nozzle, which in the upper part (closer to the handle) is supplemented with a “crossbar” for a long transverse slot; this shape optimally matches the shape of the slot and gives the most tight and reliable contact. However, with other fasteners, such tools are practically not applicable, and therefore they are rare.
