Tool kits with adjustable pliers
Adjustable pliers
— by design, adjustable pliers are very similar to a “gas” adjustable wrench (see “Keys”): they also have side-curved jaws, the distance between which can be changed. The main difference is that in wrenches, the distance changes smoothly due to the rotation of the washer on the handle, while in pliers, the connection between the two halves of the tool is responsible for this, and the adjustment is much faster (albeit in steps, not smoothly). Adjustable pliers can also be used as an impromptu wrench, however, in terms of functionality, they are still closer to a clamping tool.adjustable pliers | clear | Save List |
