Tool kits with rigid extension
Rigid extension cord
— an auxiliary device in the form of a tube of rigid material (usually metal) installed between the main tool and a removable nozzle (for example, between a ratchet and a socket head). The purpose of this device is reflected in the name: it allows you to reach deep or remote places, which would be difficult or even impossible to reach with a conventional tool. However a rigid extension does not provide as much freedom of manoeuvre as a flexible one — but it is better suited for work that requires significant effort. And in some sets, such extensions can also be used as cranks (see the relevant paragraph). Note that the tool kit may include several extensions of this type — for different sizes of fasteners (see "Landing square").rigid extension | clear | Save List |
