— oblong bodies, by the name, have an elongated shape (rectangular or cylindrical), and the lens is located at one of the ends of the body. This form is convenient to hold in your hand, some models even directly allow the use as a compact hand-held video camera. Also, oblong bodies are more comfortable at high speeds than monoblocks — they are more streamlined. And in some cases (for example, when installing in a narrow space), elongated proportions may be optimal. On the other hand, the display on such a device can only be installed on the side, and in many models with a round body there are no screens at all — you either have to set the angle "by eye" or use external devices like smartphones or tablets (if they are supported at all).
