In addition to the most obvious cases — replacing a failed module, installing a more advanced module, assembling a model from scratch or from a minimum configuration — buying a new ESC may also be required when replacing an engine. The fact is that collector and brushless electric motors differ in the requirements for control electronics, and when replacing one type of motor with another, you will also have to change the speed controller. It should be noted that the collector scheme of operation allows you to use several motors simultaneously on one control module, while each brushless motor will require its own regulator.
