— cameras specially designed for controlled models — mainly quadcopters and multicopters.

The functionality of such cameras nowadays is very diverse — from the simplest "eyes" of relatively low resolution to high-end models on controlled gimbals with the ability to rotate and tilt. There are even thermal imaging devices (including combined ones — in combination with a conventional camera). In addition, "model" cameras (almost all price categories) often provide the ability to broadcast video to a remote control or a smartphone / tablet that plays the role of such a remote control.

Note that modern drones can have a gimbal for installing a traditional camera (in some heavy multicopters — up to a professional “DSLR”). However, specialized solutions often turn out to be more optimal, and for some devices they are generally the only available option. Such cameras can be made both for certain models of copters, and for a universal installation; however, in the latter case, it still does not hurt to separately clarify the possibility of using it on a specific model.
