Mains powered headphone amplifiers
Mains
— powered by a household electrical outlet — in other words, a regular outlet (often — using a separate power supply). This method is typical mainly for stationary amplifiers (see "Type"): it allows you to provide unlimited operating time and almost any output power, and dependence on sockets for such equipment is most often not critical. However, there are also portable models with mains power — they usually use it as a fallback option, in addition to the battery and/or USB connection. At the same time, we emphasize that this is not just about charging the battery from the network (most battery amplifiers have this feature), but about power when the battery is not used at all; This format of work allows not only to save battery power, but also to reduce its wear and tear.
