Power bank mode

— the amplifier's ability to function as a power bank — that is, an external battery for charging various gadgets such as smartphones or pocket players.

This feature by definition means that the amplifier is equipped with a built-in battery (see "Power"). It should also be noted that models in this category are mainly portable (see "Type"), although there are also stationary solutions. The convenience of the Power Bank mode is obvious: it allows you to have an additional energy source on hand for charging a smartphone or another gadget. However, it is worth considering that the capacity of built-in batteries in headphone amplifiers is usually small, and they are intended more for "emergency top-ups" of draining batteries rather than for fully charging gadgets. Nevertheless, even such a possibility can be very useful — for example, if you need to wait for an important call, but you forgot to charge your smartphone, and there is no charger or outlet available.
