Arpeggiator

— the term "arpeggio" means playing the notes of a chord in turn, in ascending or descending order (rather than simultaneously). Accordingly, the arpeggiator is a device for automatically playing chords in the arpeggio technique. For a number of reasons, using such a device is easier and more convenient than playing the part by hand. First, the arpeggiator ensures that notes are evenly spaced and at the same volume. Secondly, it allows you to set the tempo, duration of notes, the interval between them, the direction of playback (“up” or “down”), and other performance parameters. Thirdly, it is enough for a musician to designate a chord with just three keys, after which the arpeggiator will be able to produce a greater number of notes and even supplement them with accompaniment. All this greatly expands the possibilities for performing and even writing music.
