Under the hood of the camera is a small CMOS sensor with physical dimensions of 1/2.3". Its effective resolution is 16 MP, allowing you to capture images at a format of 4608x3456 pixels.
Videos are recorded in maximum Full HD resolution at a frame rate of up to 30 fps. The duration of continuous video recording is limited to 30 minutes. The Pentax WG-1000 is equipped with a non-interchangeable lens with an equivalent focal length range of 27 – 108 mm. The lens aperture ranges from f/3.0 on the short end to f/6.6 at the telephoto zoom position. To prevent image blur, the camera includes an electronic stabilization system.
