An advanced compact camera with a large APS-C sensor and a fixed fixed lens. The Ricoh GR IIIx has got a sensor-shift stabilization system that allows you to compensate for up to 4 stops of shutter speed or exposure when shooting handheld or in low light conditions. The image processing here is occupied by the GR Engine 6 processor, which provides the camera with high ISOs up to 102400 units. The camera shoots 14-bit RAW, has a built-in neutral filter in two positions, has a pupil detection function during autofocus in the back.
But in terms of video shooting, the camera grazes the rear a little - video is recorded on it in the maximum resolution of Full HD (1920x1080 pixels) at 60 fps. There is no viewfinder in the body of a compact camera, so you will have to look at the picture on the 3-inch screen with touch control support while shooting. A full charge of the camera's battery is enough to take about 200 photos.

In-body Stabilization
Despite its compact body, the camera is equipped with an in-body stabilization system capable of compensating for up to 4 stops of shutter speed or exposure. This feature is useful not only for photography but also for video recording, though in the latter case the capabilities are limited — the device supports a maximum of 1920×1080 pixels at 60 frames per second.
Sharp Fixed Lens
The main advantage of the camera is the non-removable fixed lens with a focal length of 26 mm (equivalent to 40 mm for full-frame). The optical design includes 7 elements in 5 groups, among which are two aspherical lenses to reduce chromatic aberrations. Even with the aperture wide open at f/2.8, the lens delivers excellent image sharpness. In low light conditions, the wide ISO range from 100 to 102400 units, supported by the GR Engine 6 processor, is helpful.
Ergonomics
The camera is not equipped with a viewfinder or a tilting display, however, the 3-inch screen supports touch control, which is convenient for selecting the focus point with a simple touch. On a single battery charge, the device can take about 200 photos — a bit less than its closest competitors. Nevertheless, this is more than compensated by the high image quality achieved thanks to the 24-megapixel APS-C sensor and the sharp fixed lens.
