8BitDo Ultimate 2 Wireless Controller

The flagship 8BitDo controller model 2026 boasts impressively wide compatibility — in addition to standard Windows and Android, it officially supports Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, and even Apple Vision Pro), as well as SteamOS, making it one of the most versatile gamepads on the market. The sticks are built on TMR sensors with a 12-bit ADC — this is the first controller from the brand featuring this technology, providing higher sensitivity and precision compared to Hall effect sensors with lower power consumption.

The triggers use Hall effect sensors with a physical mode switch: linear analog travel for racing or nonlinear tactile click for shooters. The 2.4 GHz radio connection is implemented through the proprietary 8Speed technology with a stated latency of 1 ms and a polling rate of 1000 Hz, with the USB-C dongle format. The Bluetooth mode only works with Android. The six-axis gyroscope functions in 2.4 GHz mode and can be customized via the proprietary Ultimate Software V2.

The 8BitDo Ultimate 2 Wireless Controller features 18 buttons: in addition to the standard set, it includes two extra quick bumpers L4/R4 that can be remapped without software, and two back paddles. The D-pad and bumpers are calibrated for a more distinct tactile response. The package includes a charging dock with automatic reconnection when removing the controller.
