A-Data SC drives are not designed for spaceflight, nor can they boast high-speed NVMe support or the speed performance of Samsung's flagship EVO drives. Typically, these drives run at the same speed as other SATA SSDs. That is, 450 – 460 MB / s during linear read operations, and 520 – 530 MB / s during writes.

The SC family includes about half a dozen drives ranging in size from 240 to 2000 GB. A classic USB connector is used to connect and transfer information. In most cases, we are talking about a USB-C gen2 port and an alternative in the form of a second cable with a classic USB A connector.

In terms of design, everything is also modest and restrained — the outer pockets are made of scratch-resistant, scuff-resistant and print-resistant soft-touch plastic, and the design is dominated by classic black, white and grey colours with a minimum of visual decor. Dimensions are much more important — the average drive weighs only 35-40 grams, and its thickness does not exceed 10 mm, so it fits easily in the back pocket of your trousers or in your purse.

Considering affordable prices, it becomes obvious that the target audience of this series is people who are looking for the most affordable and at the same time high-quality external SSD to replace a slow and clumsy hard drive.
