Once I had experience using devices from this brand in the form of the first generation Bip, which held a charge for 50 days. After a bitter experience with a watch from Samsung and without the budget for a Garmin, I decided to choose this model. I was looking for good battery life (charging every day for an hour and a half isn't for me), a large screen, sapphire glass, and the ability to talk through the watch. I also wanted a rugged design because I really dreamed of buying a Garmin Fenix and was looking for something similar. So, the first thing that caught my eye was that the watch is large, quite massive indeed, thick and has a robust rugged design. I was worried that it would be too big for my rather thin wrist, but I chose primarily for the large battery and was ready for it. The upper part and buttons are titanium, the glass is sapphire, and everything else is plastic. I thought it would feel cheap, but I was wrong - the watch is almost unnoticeable on the wrist, comfortable to sleep in, and doesn't turn into a cold generator in freezing weather (hello Samsung). The display is high-quality, rich, and bright, with automatic brightness adjustment that works adequately. There is a winter mode and button control. The system itself after Samsung just flies - it's some kind of miracle. There are so many settings, everything can be customized precisely to your needs. The branded software is top-notch and allows you to monitor health and workouts. You can download maps directly to the watch and plot routes in it - the sports functionality is top-level. The battery with AOD and all health tracking lasts 10 days. Charging - just a small unit with a USB-C port and contacts, it's easy to lose. One of the flagships of the Amazfit 2025 line is advanced smartwatches that, despite their rich features, are noticeably cheaper than competitors from Garmin and Apple. The case is made of durable plastic, while the bezel and buttons are crafted from titanium. The reliability is confirmed by compliance with the military standard MIL-STD-810. With a diameter of 48mm, this model is equipped with a 1.5-inch AMOLED display with brightness up to 3000 nits and protective sapphire glass. Additionally, the watch has a built-in flashlight and a 700mAh battery, which provides up to 10 days of autonomy with active use and up to 25 days in regular mode.
Must-have for Sports and Even Diving
The key feature of the Amazfit T-Rex 3 Pro is the support for 187 sports modes. Meanwhile, 25 strength exercises and 8 popular activities (such as running or cycling) are automatically recognized. The watches have water resistance up to 10 atmospheres and diving certification: they withstand dives up to 45 meters deep, making them suitable for scuba diving.
For precise determination of speed, distance, and route, a dual-frequency GPS module with track navigation and map downloading capability is provided. Based on the collected data, the watch calculates the VO2 Max fitness index. The proprietary BioTracker sensor ensures continuous heart rate, blood oxygen level, stress, and sleep measurement, helping monitor the overall state of the body.
Proprietary Platform
The Amazfit T-Rex 3 Pro operates on the Zepp OS system, compatible with popular fitness services — Strava, TrainingPeaks, and others. The Zepp app is available for Android and iOS, so the watches easily synchronize with almost any smartphone. They also support Bluetooth calls and voice message input. The only missing feature is the ability for contactless payments. Other than that, the Amazfit T-Rex 3 Pro 48mm are durable, functional, and autonomous smartwatches with an excellent price-performance ratio.
