Amazfit Active 2 Square belongs to the category of mid-range all-purpose smartwatches, made in a rectangular case and aimed at users who need a combination of fitness features and basic smart capabilities. The model is compatible with smartphones on Android and iOS and is designed for everyday use. The watch case is made of steel and is protected against moisture to the 5ATM standard, allowing pool swimming.
The display uses a 1.75-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 450x390 pixels and supports Always-On Display. The rectangular screen shape is optimized for showing notifications and navigating the interface. A maximum brightness of 2000 nits ensures excellent readability even in bright sunlight. The screen is protected by sapphire glass. The watch runs on Zepp OS 3.0, providing access to proprietary apps and integration with the Zepp ecosystem.

Sleep monitoring, stress level tracking, and breathing exercises are supported. For workouts, there are 100+ sports modes with automatic activity detection. The built-in GPS works with Galileo, GLONASS, and BeiDou systems. Battery life reaches up to 10 days with typical use, dropping to 5 days with heavy use and to a day with GPS enabled. Charging is done via a magnetic adapter.

Durable and Thin
The debut 2025 model from the Amazfit brand features rectangular smartwatches with a refined case just 9 mm thick. The case is made of stainless steel, providing the device with an elegant appearance and a high level of durability. Special attention is paid to protection — the screen is covered with sapphire glass, which reliably protects it from scratches.
Amazfit Active 2 Square is equipped with a 1.75-inch AMOLED display with an Always-On Display function and an impressive brightness of up to 2000 nits, which is automatically adjusted by the light sensor. Despite the high screen performance, battery life remains excellent: the watch works up to 10 days with standard use and about 5 days with active use.
Even Better for Sports
The model received an expanded set of sports and medical functions — it measures heart rate variability, body temperature, automatically detects up to 25 types of activity, and starts workouts. A total of 160 fitness modes are provided, including swimming. The built-in virtual trainer Zepp Coach creates individual training plans, monitors recovery, and helps to enhance workout effectiveness. The watch also supports synchronization with popular platforms such as Strava and Komoot.
For navigation, basic tools are provided with an altimeter, barometer, and track guidance function, including free maps and step-by-step tips.
More Smart Features
The watch operates on the Zepp OS system and offers a wide range of intelligent features: receiving notifications, phone finder, voice control, Bluetooth calls through the built-in speaker and microphone, as well as Zepp Pay contactless payments (supported in 31 European countries). Android owners can quickly respond to messages, while iPhone users can remotely control the smartphone camera.
The only downside of the device is the noticeable bezels around the display, which might not appeal to fans of bezel-less designs. Otherwise, the Amazfit Active 2 Square is an excellent smartwatch for everyday wear and sports activities.
