Six video cards
A girl's best friend is diamonds, and a cryptocurrency miner's best friend is the ASRock H81 Pro BTC R2.0 motherboard. Its main advantage is as many as six PCI-E slots for connecting video cards: one full-size x16 and five more shortened x1 (a riser adapter is required).
Cheap processors and memory
Supports ASRock H81 Pro BTC R2.0 old but relatively cheap Intel Haswell processors. The younger Celeron G1840 cannot be found on the market now (miners have sold out everything), but it’s not a problem to buy a slightly more expensive Pentium G3260. The RAM is suitable for old-style DDR3, which is also cheaper than the new DDR4.
Enhanced nutrition
In addition, ASRock H81 engineers have implemented two relatively rare features. The first is a Molex connector for enhanced power supply of PCI-E slots (given their large number, it will obviously not be superfluous). The second is a dehumidifier that evaporates excess moisture in the summer heat and thereby extends the life of computer components. Another thing is that mining farms are usually assembled in an open building, and even placed near an air conditioner, which itself dries the air. As a result, although ASRock H81 Pro BTC R2.0 is not the most multi-graphics card motherboard in the world (the record holder is ASUS B250 Mining Expert with 19 PCI-E slots), it is inexpensive and widely available for sale.
