A miniature micro-ATX motherboard with 2 slots for DDR4 RAM, support for the PCIe 4.0 data bus and modern video ports (HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4), to which you can connect a modern 4K TV or monitor with a high refresh rate and HDR. By its nature and equipment, the board is designed for office assemblies, multimedia systems and entry-level workstations. ASRock B650M-HDV/M.2+ is equipped with an AM5 processor socket, which AMD introduced in 2022 to replace the universal but obsolete AM4 socket. Adapted to work with Ryzen 7000 and 8000 series chips, which appeared on the market in 2023-2024. The AMD B650 mid-range system logic is responsible for the operation of the system. Next to the processor socket there are DIMM slots in which you can install 2 DDR5 modules with a maximum clock frequency of 6400 MHz.
The maximum volume that the board can accept on board is 96 GB. Integration of the PCIe 4.0 data exchange interface makes it easier if there is a need for hypersonic M.2 SSD drives that operate without problems at speeds from 5000 to 7500 MB/s. As an alternative, the board has 4 standard SATA3 connectors, which are used for installing traditional 2.5/3.5” HDD/SSD drives.
Network connectivity is provided by a Realtek RTL8111H controller with a 1 Gbps LAN port. In addition to technical characteristics, the manufacturer pays attention to important details that help increase the service life of the board. For example, the board itself is made of six-layer PCB, the space around the socket is equipped with a small radiator, and specialized clamps are used to secure RAM modules. In addition, the graphics card slot is reinforced with steel fiber, which prevents the device from deforming.

Future generations
ASRock B650M-H/M.2+ is a motherboard with socket AM5 and B650 chipset, which allows you to overclock not only processor cores, but also the built-in video card. Supports Ryzen 7000 and 8000G, and in the future will likely support newer CPUs by updating the BIOS firmware using a button on the interface panel.
Digital mosfets
The power subsystem is based on Dr.MOS digital mosfets in a 6+1+1 scheme for the processor, graphics and RAM, respectively. The mosfets are covered with a small aluminium radiator. Two RAM slots support DDR5 modules with frequencies up to 6400 MHz. There are also a couple of connectors for M.2 solid-state drives: the first is ultra-fast PCIe 5.0, the second is slightly slower than PCIe 4.0.
Reinforced slot
There is also a shortened M.2 with an alternative Key-E pinout, designed for a Wi-Fi wireless adapter. The video card slot is reinforced with metal so that a particularly large GPU does not break it with its weight. On the rear panel there are two digital video outputs HDMI and Display Port, as well as a reversible USB Type-C port, although only 5 Gbps.
