Standard-sized motherboard from the ASRock Pro lineup released in 2022. Unlike most of its peers, its capabilities exceed those of the mid-range class. The ASRock B650 PG Lightning is equipped with an AM5 processor socket, replacing the popular but outdated AM4 socket. The model is optimized for working with DDR5 memory and high-speed SSDs, providing support for PCIe fourth and fifth generation buses.

Overall, the platform supports the installation of DDR5 RAM modules with a maximum frequency of 7200 MHz and a total capacity of up to 192 GB, making it an attractive choice for users focused on large volumes of fast and modern memory. Storage installation capabilities include three M.2 slots for high-speed NVMe SSDs, including one running in PCIe 5.0 mode, as well as four SATA3 ports for standard HDD and SSD drives.

The built-in high-performance 17-phase power converter with an enlarged heatsink and improved electrical design ensures full potential for Ryzen 7000 series multicore processors.
