ASRock X670E Pro RS

Full format flagship motherboard with LGA 1700 processor socket, high-end power subsystem and pre-installed Wi-Fi receiver. To install the processor in the ASRock X670E Pro RS, an AM5 socket is provided, which AMD presented in 2022 as a replacement for the outdated AM4 socket. In addition, it is designed to work with the new DDR5 format RAM, which only hit the mass market in 2022. ASRock X670E Pro RS can accept up to 4 DDR5 modules with a total capacity of up to 128 GB and a maximum clock speed of 6600 MHz.

To connect drives, the board provides connectors of different classes, including a Blazing M.2 reactive connector that works on the PCI-E 5.0 bus, three Hyper class M.2 ports (PCI-E 4.0), one standard M.2 port, and six SATA 3 connectors for classic HDD and SSD drives. Despite belonging to the PRO series, the device is not inferior to the gaming solutions from the Taichi series and can be an interesting choice for a gaming PC with an eye on a future upgrade. Still, the digital 17-phase power converter has a large margin of safety and is ready to work in tandem with even a very powerful and hot chip of the Ryzen 7 or Ryzen 9 level. In addition, the board supports the connection of water pumps and LED strips, which brings it closer to the profile solutions for gamers.
