Asus PRIME Z690-P WIFI D4

An unconventional mid-range motherboard that belongs to the Asus Prime entry-level product series, but is based on the flagship Intel Z690 chipset, focused on serious overclocking. High performance and stability of the system is guaranteed by a high-end 15-phase power subsystem, which uses proprietary power transistors, heat-resistant capacitors and additional elements for cooling the power circuits.

Thanks to the use of high-quality circuitry and the modern LGA 1700 socket, the Asus PRIME Z690-P WIFI D4 motherboard is suitable for building a solid gaming system based on an overclocked multi-core processor of the Intel Core i5 or i7 level from the 12th generation of ALder Lake. More modest Intel Celeron and Pentium processors are also supported, but for them the capabilities of this board will most likely be redundant.

Unlike most other motherboards from the Prime series, this model is equipped with four slots for installing high-speed DDR4 RAM modules with a maximum frequency of 6000 MHz. Another important difference from the brothers is the integration of a high-speed PCIe 5.0 interface, which allows you to install a reactive NVMe SSD in the system, ready to work at speeds from 5000 to 7500 MB / s.

The storage slot layout includes three M.2 connectors (1xSATA/PCIe 4x, 2xPCI-E 4x) and four slots for connecting SATA3 devices. As befits other gaming motherboards from Asus, this model is equipped with a high-end network controller (throughput of 2.5 GB / s) and is friendly with the proprietary AURA Sync backlight synchronization system. For wireless connection, a communication module with support for Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) and Bluetooth 5.2 is provided.
