An overclockable ATX motherboard from the ASUS ROG STRIX gaming series, equipped with the AMD B850 chipset and aimed at creating powerful builds with multi-core Ryzen processors of the latest generations — from the 7000 to the 9000 series. This model stands out by offering almost all the functionality of X870-based solutions while remaining in a more affordable price segment.

The major feature of the model is the reinforced 16+2+2 phase power system, using high-current MP87691 modules at 90 amps, which allows the board to easily handle the power requirements of top-tier Ryzen processors without overheating or downclocking. For heat dissipation, massive aluminum heatsinks are provided on the VRM zones, chipset, and M.2 slots, which is especially important when installing fast SSDs and under high load conditions.

ROG STRIX B850-F GAMING WIFI offers extensive customization and overclocking capabilities: it features AI Overclocking support, AI Networking traffic prioritization system, and synchronization of lighting through Aura Sync. In ASUS's proprietary software, you can finely tune cooling, monitor indicators, and manage power. In terms of connectivity, the board 100% matches its high class, allowing you to connect up to four high-speed NVMe SSDs (2x5.0, 2x4.0) and up to 192 GB of DDR5 RAM with a maximum frequency of 8200 MHz.

In addition to gaming capabilities, a solid set of additional tools and connection ports is noteworthy, including HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4, numerous USB ports of different versions, as well as a built-in network controller with a 2.5-gigabit LAN port and a wireless Wi-Fi 7 receiver. The built-in ROG SupremeFX audio track is equipped with a high-class Savitech SV3H712 amplifier.

This is a complete disaster, probably the most awful brand for motherboards. They created the Armory Crate app and crammed it with everything possible — fan control, lighting, GPU, drivers, etc. And, of course, it won't work. After updating the drivers, the PC wouldn't start, just a black screen. I had to recover through limited entry without drivers (to remove Armory). After that, the computer started up. Black screens lasting about 10 seconds, around five times a day (driver issues, you need to completely clean them from the registry and other places where ASUS services remain and download everything from the AMD site for the B850 chipset). So, what can I say? This brand is the worst in terms of software. You'd be better off with MSI or Gigabyte; they don't have these problems. But if you're a masochist, go ahead and get ASUS. I'll switch to MSI if I manage to sell this to someone.
