Large planar drivers that provide an extended dynamic range. Rich set of accessories.

The debut of the 2026 ROG Delta line from the brand Asus is a set of full-size open-back gaming headphones considered to be in the advanced class. They are worth considering for demanding gamers who own powerful gaming-oriented PCs and/or popular consoles, including PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. The model is a wired solution but supports various connection options, ranging from a mini-Jack to other connectors (via included adapters), including Jack (6.35 mm) and Pentaconn (4.4 mm), as well as USB-C.

This feature broadens compatibility, allowing the headset to be used with smartphones, tablets, amplifiers, DACs, etc. The Asus ROG Kithara headphones are equipped with large 100-millimeter planar magnetic drivers by HIFIMAN. They provide an extended frequency range of 8 to 55000 Hz, excellent sound detailing with a low level of distortion. The headset transforms into a full-range boom microphone model on a flexible arm, which claims accurate voice capture and additional noise cancellation to reduce distracting background sounds. A special mention should be made of the reliable and comfortable design with headband self-adjustment, rotating ear cups, durable hinges, and a metal frame, along with elegant soft earpads (two pairs are included — made of faux leather with a mesh insert and fabric — velour).

Popular questions

Verified 2 september, Olexandr Cherkashchenko

Can the headset be connected to a PC and consoles without purchasing adapters?

Asus ROG Kithara come with cables and adapters for 3.5 mm, USB-C, 6.35 mm, and Pentaconn 4.4 mm; compatibility with PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch is stated. For PCs, a cable with separate plugs for headphones and microphone is provided.Source:Specifications

Are Asus ROG Kithara suitable for home use if it’s not always quiet around you?

Probably not: the open-back design barely isolates external sounds and partially lets music leak out. It is a good option for a quiet room where a sense of spaciousness and a natural presentation are important, but computer noise, street sounds, or conversations will be audible.Source:SpecificationsExpert reviews

Does the Asus ROG Kithara need an amplifier?

No, a separate amplifier is usually not required: the impedance is 16 ohms, and the volume is sufficient even from a standard 3.5 mm laptop output. With a high-quality DAC, the included 4.4 mm balanced connection can be used.Source:SpecificationsExpert reviews

Is it worth choosing the Asus ROG Kithara over a regular wireless gaming headset?

Yes, if sound quality, a wired connection, and simple operation without charging are more important. However, it lacks Bluetooth, active noise cancellation, RGB lighting, and software-based spatial audio modes—those who enjoy such features should consider another type of headset.Source:SpecificationsExpert reviews

How is the microphone on the Asus ROG Kithara for gaming and calls?

The detachable flexible microphone captures speech clearly and noticeably reduces ordinary background noise thanks to ENC. In noisy environments, loud, sharp sounds may still be picked up in the recording, but the quality should be reliable for voice chat and calls at home.Source:SpecificationsExpert reviews

How accurately can you hear the direction of footsteps and gunshots?

Asus ROG Kithara reproduce soundstage depth well: it is easy to distinguish distant sounds from nearby ones and understand their general direction. However, in fast-paced competitive FPS games, precise enemy positioning may be inferior to that of some specialized open-back headphones.Source:Expert reviews

Is it comfortable to play for several hours?

Asus ROG Kithara weigh 420 g, so they feel bulkier than many gaming headsets. The author of one review notes that the replaceable velour ear pads proved more comfortable than the stock ones and allowed the headphones to be used for more than 6 hours without noticeable discomfort.Source:Expert reviews
