An affordable gaming monitor featuring a 23.8-inch IPS screen in classic Full HD (1920x1080) format. Its standard refresh rate is 144 Hz; in overdrive mode it can be slightly increased to 146 Hz. Gray-to-gray response time is 4 ms, and with MPRT — 1 ms. The screen covers 125% sRGB and has peak brightness around 300 cd/m². Among proprietary systems, it features support for ASUS ELMB Sync — the technology lets you use motion blur reduction and adaptive frame rate synchronization at the same time to eliminate tearing or stuttering.

Monitor settings are adjusted via DisplayWidget Center. Gaming tools in the ASUS TUF Gaming VG249QE5A include a crosshair overlay, timer, fps counter, and the Shadow Boost option for brightening dark areas. The monitor is equipped with one DisplayPort v1.2, one HDMI v2.0, and a headphone/external speaker output (3.5 mm mini-jack). It also has built-in speakers (2 W). In terms of adjustments, the user can change the screen tilt. Greater flexibility is provided by a VESA 100x100 mm wall mount, purchased separately.
