Evolution of the legendary B&W PX7
The B&W PX7 S2e is an improved version of the popular and highly acclaimed B&W PX7 wireless headphones. Like the previous model, they are designed for use with portable devices during travel and walks. The S2e are made of lightweight but durable materials, which allows them to withstand significant mechanical stress. Oval ear pads with memory foam and swiveling cups provide a secure fit, completely covering the ears, and do not put unnecessary pressure on them.
Clear and detailed sound with moderate bass
The headphones feature improved ANC and proprietary 40mm carbon fiber drivers. They support auto-pause and can be fine-tuned via the B&W mobile app. Sound quality is good, but the bass isn’t as pronounced as some modern models. These headphones are better suited to listening to jazz, ambient, or instrumental tracks than to hip-hop, pop, or electronic music. The active noise cancellation works gently, without degrading the sound, but it doesn’t isolate external sounds as effectively as the Sony and Bose models. Therefore, the B&W PX7 S2e may be less convenient for use on trains or planes compared to the Sony WH-1000XM4/XM5.

B&W also has a more advanced model, the PX8, which is a great choice for all-round hi-fi headphones. The PX8 sound a little louder and clearer, have real leather instead of faux leather for the lining, and are more interesting in appearance, but this is more a matter of taste. Otherwise, both models offer similar noise-cancelling systems, the same connectivity (Bluetooth 5.2 or wired), and a 30-hour battery with fast charging support. However, the B&W PX7 S2e is half the price of the PX8, and they are often on sale, so the choice depends on your budget.
